What to expect at your session....

Times like these can be a little stressful as you search, compare, and try to find a photographer that has a look you like, a price you think is fair, picking a package, location, date and the list goes on and on. Thankfully you can now rest assured that you finally found the one.

 At the Tilted Lens we believe in providing a safe, fun and laid-back experience. My style is creative, candid, with a street photography vibe. I will take many different photos to ensure that I capture your essence or the environment. I strive to provide the best images possible that tell a story. 

Photography is one of the oldest visual art you can invest in. Together we will create a beautiful visual story for you to experience for years to come. 

Preparing for your session

Once you decide to schedule a session with me, we will set a tentative date based on our mutual availability.   

Then we will choose a location that will capture your desired look. I will ask that you share some of your favorite looks and poses from an image board, this will give me an idea what you would like. Color coordinating and selecting the perfect outfit will help achieve the best possible outcome for the style and look you want. Think about what type of props you would like to include in your photo shoot. There, that's basically it, now you can relax and enjoy your day!

During Your Session:

Once you arrive I will give you some time to gather your things, please don't feel rushed, I want you to be as relaxed as possible.

I start my sessions by taking a few test photos, most likely while we chat. Imagine that you are a celebrity just doing you and let me, your paparazzi, follow you around and capture you being you. Every now and then I may see something that really jumps out at me, and I will ask you to stop, and I will guide you into a pose. I want you to have fun, and I want to capture as many candid images showcasing who you are. 

If your shoot includes loved ones, friends, coworkers or pets we will move on to some more relationship poses and any poses that we have agreed upon prior to photo shoot.

After Your Session:

Now you can go home and relax and dream about all the beautiful images that will soon be yours.

Please understand that I will likely shoot about 200 images or more and I will be culling through them to find the best images available. I will narrow them down to 20-50 images.

Once I have the “final cut” selected I go through each individual picture.  I look to correct any blemishes.  Tiny details like acne or hairs on shirts once corrected can make all the difference in an image!  My process also includes looking for images that would shine with a special touch like a vignette or a special color application.

After all the edits have been made, your images will be shared as a sneak peak for any corrections. Upon approval any watermarks on the images will be removed and delivered to you in digital format for download. I will offer an option to purchase prints, albums, canvas or other products on the website.

I will provide a usage license so that you can print your images at the lab of your choice without any hassle. You will need to have it with you when you place your order and / or when you pick it up.
